Write an outline for your SRP and bring it to class (on paper or laptop) for in-class review:
- thesis statement that matches ideas and organization of your paper
- full topic sentences for each paragraph
- transitions written out between the paragraphs
- evidence in each paragraph that is cited with APA citation -- the evidence DOES NOT need to be in full sentences

- Here are the references for the SRP. Download references for the SRP. Make sure you select only the ones you are using. Pay attention to formatting -- from the mini-summary I know that formatting APA citations is somewhat of a weakness. Therefore, use this opportunity to pay attention to how an APA citation is done so that you can do it on your own for the next papers.

Class: 1193 College Library (Information Literacy and Library Resources Session 2)
- In class you will spend time researching your own GRP topic, so make sure you do the preliminary searching before class (next bullet point) so that you have a topic to work with in class.
- Read the Guided Research Paper (GRP) assignment information
- Complete Research Journal 1 on topic of Fraud and Food Safety.
- Start by skimming articles in THIS FOLDER Links to an external site. that are possible topics. You are not limited to these topics, but they provide a good starting point. Use one of the topics you choose to investigate when you complete Module 3 below.
- Complete 'Sift and Winnow' Modules 2-6
