Review Implementation Requirements
Before you start work on your contract, review the implementation requirements. Do you have a clear understanding of what the work entails? If anything is unclear, document what is unclear in the conservation planning assistance notes and seek clarification before starting work.
In our example, Pat and the FSA representative selected the filter strip conservation practice.
The conservation planner gathered the implementation requirements from the Field Office Technical Guide Links to an external site. (FOTG). In our example, these included:
- 393 IL IR Filter Strip 2017 Links to an external site.
- 393_IL_GD_Seeding_Tables_2017 Links to an external site.
If after reviewing the implementation requirements you have questions (big or small), document them in the conservation planning assistance notes. And, after getting your answers to them, document the responses in the conservation planning assistance notes.
