Module 1 Conclusion

In this module you reviewed the history and benefits of the CRP. You were introduced to a landowner, some brief background about her land, and her close work with her tenants. 

As a TSP, you will be working with landowners and those that have an interest in the land. Landowner objectives can vary!  Here are just a few: 

• Improve soil health and crop yields
• Reduce soil erosion
• Increase water infiltration 
• Improve surface water quality for livestock and wildlife
• Establish habitat for wildlife

In the next module, you will review why the landowner and land are eligible for CRP. And, what conservation practice Pat selected for addressing the resource concerns on her land.
